How long is the grind? For Level 40, you’re talking about four hours-plus per day of focus on completing agendas, mostly in boring game modes. That’s up to 200+ hours of playing the game for one card.

Is the grind worth it? It’s not worth spending half your life on. We have reached level 40 and enjoyed both the rewards and the grind, but stressing yourself over it is simply not worth it.

Where should I aim for? If you have a lot of time to grind the game, level 40 should be your aim. More casual players should aim for the last Ascension board (lvl 36) at most. Super casual players should just play the game to have fun and forget the XP grind.

The Best Small Forwards in NBA 2K22 MyTeam

Small Forwards play a pivotal role in every game on both ends of the floor, making it necessary to have a good one on your squad. Here are the top 5 SFs in NBA 2K22 MyTeam right now:

  1. Dark Matter, Invincible Giannis Antetokounmpo: This 65-HOF badge Giannis is an unstoppable force on offense, and a lockdown defender of any position. He’s expensive, but worth it in most cases.
  2. Dark Matter, Invincible Lebron James: Lebron’s Invincible card fits the bill, as he will be an overall dominant force on both sides of the ball at the 3 spot.
  3. Dark Matter Kevin Durant: The typical dominant Durant card HOF badges in every important category, great animations, and an expensive price tag. He’s certainly worth it, however.
  4. Dark Matter Bobby Jones: He’s not a big name, but Jones is seriously one of the best defenders in the game. He can guard 1-through-5, and he’s also a great spot-up shooter as well.
  5. Dark Matter Kawhi Leonard: Kawhi is one of the best players in the entire game, with dominant defense, shooting, dribbling, and slashing. He’s expensive but seriously the most dominant SF in the game.

Best Budget Small Forwards:

Sub-25K MT: Pink Diamond Lamar Odom. A swiss army knife card that can dunk, shoot, defend, and even dribble at the SF spot. Odom is 6’10” as well, so he is also usable against the Lebron and Giannis cards.

Sub-10K MT: Diamond Darius Miles. Miles can drive and dunk with the best cards, and he’s a good overall defender as well. He’s probably limited to spot-up duty on the shooting end, however.

Sub-2K MT: Amethyst Jeff Green. A super versatile player for a great price. Green can shoot, dunk, defend wings. He will need a few shooting badges if you want to use him as anything other than a corner spot-up.

How to Win Every Game of Domination in NBA 2K21

Domination can be a pain to play sometimes in NBA 2K21 MyTeam, as there can be little consistency to both your play and that of the computer fairly frequently.

But after completing Domination in 2K21 MyTeam, we have compiled the best and easiest tips to get the necessary wins for each level:

  • The most important thing: Have a Point Guard with at least Gold Quick First Step. We like Diamond John Stockton (for his dunking as well), but a budget option is Doc Rivers.
  • The Method: Rim-Running with your PG off of a 5-out. Switch your freelance to Hawks 2018, call for a “Pass and Screen Away,” and run to the basket for an easy bucket the majority of the time.
  • If that doesn’t work?: If the opposing PG has Clamps, calling for a screen will freeze the defender(s) and allow you to get to the hoop easily. Call the screen around half-court for best results.
  • The Rest of your Team: A 3-and D wing, a Slashing Wing (for Fastbreaks), a decent Defensive PF, and a taller Center with Intimidator is the best lineup for playing Domination with the aforementioned PG archetype.
  • The defensive strategy: Have a good center with Intimidator, set your Settings to Smother On-Ball and Tight Off-Ball, and try to stop the opposing team getting in the paint (most teams spam rin-runs)
  • How to Get the Necessary MT: You’ll need at least 10 free throws and 5 3-pointers to get the 775 or 900 MT for Historic and All-Time. Rim-running and Driving-and-kicking should get you both naturally throughout the game.
  • Other Tips: Using money plays (there aren’t any good ones at the moment), switching defensive matchups to stop the opposing teams’ key players, and taking advantage of all fastbreaks are a few more extremely helpful tips for completing Domination.

Best Shooting Guards in NBA 2K22 MyTeam

Shooting Guards are often disrespected in MyTeam, given less focus despite their massive impact on each game. Here is our list of the best shooting guards in NBA 2K22:

  1. Dark Matter, Invincible Tracy McGrady: T-Mac’s best card this year is juiced. He has most badges on HOF, his top-notch jumpshot, and even the necessary dribble moves to handle the ball.
  2. Dark Matter, Invincible Kobe Bryant: Kobe has similar badges to T-Mac, but he’s just a bit shorter. His jumpshot is money, and he has great dribble moves as well, so he’s still a top-tier 2 guard right now.
  3. Dark Matter, Invincible Scottie Pippen: One of the best defenders in the game. Although his offense game is mostly spot-up duty, his defense makes up for everything else.
  4. Dark Matter Giannis Antetokounmpo: Giannis at the 2 is interesting, but he has the stats and badges to top this list. He’s a lockdown defender no opposing PG’s and great on offense, too.
  5. Dark Matter Joe Johnson: He’s got the quickest jumper on this list, and although he might not be an Invincible card, he can line up with them and handle himself just fine.

The Best Budget Shooting Guards

Sub-25K MT: Diamond James Harden. Harden may seem a bit outdated for some people, but he’s still one of the best combinations of a top tier shooter, playmaker, and defender at this price range.

Sub-10K MT: Diamond Victor Oladipo. He’s a great shooter, defender, and dunker for just under that 10K MT mark, and has a crazy wingspan for a player his size. Must cop for budget teams.

Sub-2K MT: Amethyst Danny Green. You don’t even need to spend MT on him because he’s a token reward. Just 15 tokens gets you an affordable 3-and-D wing.

Best Point Guards in NBA 2K22 MyTeam

MyTeam has certainly been interesting this year, with a focus on shorter Point Guards and a slow power creep. Given this, here are the best point guards in NBA 2K22 MyTeam:

  1. Dark Matter Luka Doncic: Although his dribbling animations leave much to be desired, Doncic is going to be a top-tier shooter, playmaker, and defender at the point guard position.
  2. Dark Matter Michael Jordan: MJ at point guard is a menace on both ends. He has all the badges you need, good dribbling animations, and a good jumper on Very Quick timing.
  3. Dark Matter Ben Simmons: He’s the best rim-running PG in the game, has great badges (even shooting), and great dribbling animations. The only thing holding Ben back is his jumpshot on quick.
  4. Dark Matter, Invincible Penny Hardaway: He still has his goofy jumpshot, but otherwise this card is amazing. He’s bigger than most PG’s and is a great option for the 1 spot on your team.
  5. Dark Matter, Invincible Stephen Curry: One of the best shooting PG’s in the game gets some great playmaking and defensive badges as well. Although he’s short, Curry will be lights out from beyond the arc.

The Best Budget Point Guards

Budget cards are typically more affordable cards that give you similar performance to the more expensive cards. Our top budget point guards are broken into different categories depending on your budget.

Sub-25K MT: Pink Diamond Jeremy Lin. A glitched card that can dribble, shoot, and defend at a high level. Although he’s not a great dunker, the value he gives you at this price is incredible.

Sub-10K MT: Diamond Bob Sura. Clocking it at around 5K MT, Sura is a cheap point guard that has the height, attributes, and badges to match cards much more expensive than him.

Sub-2K MT: Collison is cheap, but he certainly is a testament to the saying “you get what you pay for.” Although he’s a good shooter and playmaker, he lacks the ability to dunk and a bunch of necessary defensive badges.

Best Center Builds in NBA 2K23

Creating Centers in NBA 2K23 is tougher due to the new build system that completely changed how attributes affect badges. Nonetheless, we have created a few builds that will help you maximize your contributions out of the 5 spot.

The All-Around Center

Here is a short, no-nonsense video on the best all-around center build in NBA 2K23:

This build will dominate nowhere, but do a little bit of everything. It can finish in the paint pretty well, shoot off the catch very well (for a center, anyway), and defend very well.

It get a bunch of badges in finishing, shooting, and defensive, but not all of the top ones. That’s ok, though, as you will be the center that gives the other team headaches when you’re pulling from deep while swatting away shots in the paint.

Defensive-Oriented

Coming soon. Thank you for your patience.

The Best Practice Drills to get your Badges Quickly in NBA 2K21

Playing MyCareer games is still the best way to get your badges quickly, but there’s an easy way to supplement this progress: practice drills in between games.

And there are tons of drills to choose from, but we picked out the best ones from each category to help you get all of your badges quickly:

  • Finishing: Lob Finishes. This drill makes your player catch lobs dunks or layups from a guard, netting you 700 points when you complete this rather easy drill with three stars.
  • Shooting: Free Throw Ace. This drill makes your player successfully shoot at least five out of ten free throws to earn 750 points per three star completion.
  • Playmaking: Outlet Passing. This drill has your player throw downcourt passes to one of two players running on the break. You’ll get 750 points for an easy three star completion.
  • Defense: Charge. This drill has your player take a charge in the paint, netting you 700 points per three star completion. This means 3+ charges taken, an easy task.
  • Should you do Coaches’ Drills? We say yes. They’re boring at times (and even sometimes tough), but net you 2x MyPoints for every drill you complete.

Best Small Forward Builds in NBA 2K22

The Small Forward is typically considered a role player in NBA 2K22, with typically one, maybe two main jobs to help the team win.

However, equipped with a good build, Small Forwards can lead a team to victory in any game mode. Thus, here are the best builds to help you dominate the SF spot:

Next-Gen

Best Well-Rounded Small Forward Build: 3&D Wing. Don’t let the name fool you, this build can seriously do a bit of everything on the court. Most importantly, this build can be a switch defender that wreaks havoc on all opponents.

  • Key Badges you can get: HOF Sniper. Gold Limitless, Clamps, Intimidator, Hot Zone Hunter, and Limitless Takeoff. Silver Posterizer, Rim Protector, and Quick First Step.

Above is how to build the 3&D wing, and here is a video tutorial.

Best 3&D Small Forward Build: 2-Way Inside the Arc Scorer. Another goofy name, but this build is a serious defender, spot-up shooter, and dunker. While this build will struggle dribbling, it can defend 1-5 with great success.

  • Key Badges you can get: HOF Clamps, Interceptor, Sniper. Gold Hot Zone Hunter, Posterizer, Limitless Takeoff, Intimidator. Silver Limitless, Rim Protector.

Above is the build, and here is a video on how to make it.

Best Current Gen Small Forward Build: Perimeter Lockdown. A two-way build that can guard 2-4 and shoot from the corners relatively consistently. Here’s a video on how to make it.
